prompt: children
thoughts: when i think of children of course my mind goes immediately to my own. then i begin to think of the innocence of childhood and all the many amazing things our kids have the opportunity to be involved in and a part of. for our 6 year old that is baseball. though he has a love-hate relationship with it, i have to admit some of my all time favorite images from the last two years are of him in all his “glory“: size small uniform, heavy catcher’s equipment, and an attention span that can barely be kept alive for more than a few minutes. pee wee baseball has become a big part of our family – the innocence, the thrill, the joy of just being a kid – and of course the joy for us to watch from the sidelines.
so whether or not baseball is in his future, we give our word to love & support whatever it is he chooses to fill his childhood with. isn’t that what being a kid is all about?
